Cristina Jean Thayer Mauro is an amazing 15 Year old from Vancouver, B.C., Canada. Never having a voice lesson in her life, she started to sing at the age of 4 and the sheer strength in that little girl’s voice was just amazing!
Grandma (Jean Chernoff)

Cristina’ stage presence was evident when she participated in the Theatrix Youtheatre Society, which offers performing arts programs for youth aged 4 years to adult in the in British Columbia, Canada.
Theatrix is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and administrated by SunCity Productions through the services of the Artistic Director, Deborah Solberg.
When Cristina was 5, she sang at a coffee bar called Miles of Beans, it was her first time on stage. She was tipped 5 dollars and she has saved it for keeps.
Cristina has also been a part of the Chinese New Year’s Celebration in Vancouver’s Chinatown, opening the festivities every year since she was 6 years old. Thank you Francis for being being responsible for hiring me all those years.
Also, she’s been singing “Amazing Grace” with a bag piper for the past 7 yrs at cemetary honouring and remembering special friends since she was 5.

Cristina also sang on stage for a Memorial fundraiser and landed her self in the Tri-city Newspaper for it.

The day after 9/11, she was asked to appear on to Rock 101 station on the Brother Jake show where they played her off and on for a year. Cristina’s singing brought out such emotion after this tragic event and the calls were pouring into the station asking “who was that little girl?”
Then she was asked to sing the anthems for the BC Lions Football Team and at hockey games for the Vancouver Giants. Cristina has become a regular singer of the anthem at the BC Lions Games.
Now, at age 12, shes singing at weddings. Her first wedding booking(an RCMP wedding) was when she was 9 years old.
Cristina also sings at anniversarys, fundraisers, Canada Day festivities and many other special events. She is quite a hit around town!

Cristina was recently in Las Vegas and found herself at the Mandalay Bay Casino where she sang impromptu in one of the performance rooms “Mama he’s crazy over me” by the Judds.
Don’t ask me how we pulled it off, considering she’s a minor. There were people asking her for her autograph and she received a ton of tips. It’s amazing to watch.
Cristina’s dream goal is to have a bus like Loretta Lynn did and travel and perform in different places.
